Skiing near SLC without a car
Most of the larger resorts near Salt Lake can be reached without a car if you stay in the right place.
Easiest car-free trips
- Park City: shared airport shuttle ($95 + $40 per extra passenger), then free town buses to Park City Mountain and Deer Valley.
- Alta and Snowbird: shared shuttle from the airport ($52), stay in the canyon or near a bus stop, and use the free Town of Alta shuttle between the two.
- Salt Lake Ski Super Pass: includes free ski bus and TRAX rides on ski days for Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude.
Harder without a car
- Brighton and Solitude: no shared airport shuttle and rides down are scarce; plan around the 972 bus.
- Snowbasin and Powder Mountain: train plus bus, several transfers, no FrontRunner on Sundays.
- Sundance: the 880 bus doesn’t run on Sundays.
- Before Dec 6: no ski buses at all.
