Ways to pay less
- Book early. Dated pricing rises as the day nears. Snowbird says up to 15% off two weeks out; Brighton says up to 50% off window rates; Park City says up to $100 off four weeks out.
- Multi-day products. Salt Lake Ski Super Pass: 3–10 days across Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude, from $570, with free UTA ski bus and TRAX. Snowbird Flex-5 ($136 a day, sold until Dec 16). Powder Mountain Flex Pass (any 4 days, $599). Sundance S-Card ($119 first day, $109 after).
- A pass priced like a ticket. Park City’s Epic 1-Day Pass ($147) beats its day ticket ($325). Mountain Collective ($729) is 2 days each at Alta, Snowbird and Snowbasin plus 24 other resorts, and half-price days after that.
- Cheap hills. Brian Head and Nordic Valley sell many days from $9 if bought early. Beaver Mountain is $75 flat, Cherry Peak $55, Woodward from $35. Solitude’s November calendar runs $70–$119.
- Kids. Free at Powder Mountain, Brian Head and Nordic Valley (12 and under) and Snowbird (6 and under). 4th–6th graders: the $79 Ski Utah Passport (price rises Dec 1).
- Lodging bundles. Snowbird Stay & Save (20–36% off tickets) and Solitude lodging guests (up to 40% off advance tickets).
- Parking. An Alta full-day ticket includes $15 off a weekend parking reservation. Solitude parking is free after 11am and free all day with four in the car.
Common questions
Is it cheaper to buy Utah lift tickets online?
At most resorts, yes. Snowbird, Brighton, Solitude, Park City, Powder Mountain, Nordic Valley and Brian Head price by date and charge the most at the window on the day. Sundance, Beaver Mountain and Cherry Peak charge one flat price.
What is the cheapest way to ski the Cottonwood resorts for several days?
Three or more days: compare the Salt Lake Ski Super Pass (from $570 for 3 adult days at Alta, Brighton, Snowbird or Solitude, with free ski bus) against advance online tickets. Two days at Alta, Snowbird or Snowbasin: a Mountain Collective pass at $729 covers 2 days at each and works at 24 other resorts too.
Do kids ski free in Utah?
Powder Mountain, Brian Head and Nordic Valley: 12 and under free. Snowbird: 6 and under free. Brighton: up to two free 6-and-under tickets with an adult ticket. Deer Valley runs a kids-free week Dec 5–11 with a paying adult. Any 4th–6th grader anywhere can get the Ski Utah Passport for three days at each of 14 resorts.
Is a Park City day ticket really $325?
That is the advance adult price on Park City Mountain’s own page for 2026–27. The same page sells a restricted Epic 1-Day Pass at $147. If you only ski Park City once, buy the pass, not the ticket.
